Oral SedationEmpty heading

Oral sedatives involve a prescription medication to induce sedation before your procedure. This helps patients feel stay relaxed and comfortable during their treatment process. Depending on the dosage administered, you may not even remember any of the treatment after the sedative wears off. Someone will need to accompany you to the appointment to drive you home after the procedure is over.

Laughing GasEmpty headingEmpty heading

This form of sedation is administered using a mask placed on the nose during the procedure. The gas produces mild to moderate sedation effects and makes you feel relaxed. The effects go away almost as soon as the flow of laughing gas is switched off and you breathe normal oxygen. It has minimal to no hangover-like effects.

Local Anesthesia

A local anesthetic is used to temporarily suppress the nerves at the site of treatment so that you cannot feel the sensation of pain during your treatment. An injection containing the anesthetic is given a few minutes before the start of your procedure.
